A long night of tactics, patience and determination led the fleet all the way to Taranto.

In the third Offshore stage of the 2026 Giro d’Italia a Vela, light winds turned more than 250 nautical miles into a true mental battle, rewarding those able to make the most of every breath of breeze.
Victory went to Guardia di Finanza’s Pierluigi Fornelli and Filippo Baldassarri, ahead of Circolo Nautico Sambenedettese and Marina Militare, completing an all-Italian podium.
The wind, however, had other plans for the InShore classes: only one WASZP race could be completed before racing was suspended due to the calm conditions. The show is postponed until tomorrow, with crews hoping for stronger breeze and flying foils.
The journey continues.
